Love letter to the body on my table.
I love to hear you snore.
Yes, you read that right. I love snoring.
Not necessarily the kind that keeps us up at night… I'm talking about the snoring that happens on my massage table — the kind that tells me you've finally let go.
Sometimes it's gentle and rhythmic, almost like a lullaby. Sometimes it's heavy and a little unpredictable, catching even you off guard. Either way, when I hear it, I know something important has happened. You've stopped holding on. Your body has found a place where it feels safe enough to fully relax, and that is exactly what I want for you.
That kind of deep relaxation isn't just a nice bonus. It's where the real work happens. When your nervous system finally shifts out of fight-or-flight and into rest-and-digest, your body can begin to do what it's designed to do: heal. And I can tell the moment it kicks in — not just from the snoring, but from the sounds your body makes when it finally trusts the space enough to switch on digestion. A gurgle here, a little gas there. Some people get embarrassed. Please don't. Those sounds are your body saying, "I'm safe now." They let me know I've done my job in creating the right environment for you to fully let go and tap into your body's own healing potential.
And while we're on the subject of things you never need to apologize for — please don't worry about coming in unshaven. Don't stress about a skin condition. Don't hold back because you're uncomfortable with your body or feel like you need to be something other than exactly as you are in this moment. You are a whole person, already complete, and you deserve to be treated with care, intention, and genuine love exactly as you walk through my door.
My job isn't to fix you, because you're not broken. My job is to hold space for you — for your body to soften, for your breath to deepen, and for you to remember what it feels like to be completely at ease. When you snore on my table, when your stomach gurgles, when you walk in a little unsure and leave a little lighter — that's everything. That's the whole point.
You deserve a space where you can fully let go. I'd be honored to be that space for you.
