“Go” time
I was just thinking that I'll finally be launching my new website and booking system-and then I realized that we are midway into mercury retrograde….I suppose I will keep working on it until it goes direct.
This new website and scheduling system wasn't a change I was looking for. After 14 years with my very simple website I built through my professional insurance company, they changed hosting providers, which meant I had to start over from scratch. Like many of us, I'm a creature of habit. I loved knowing that clients could easily book online without either of us having to think twice about it.
Learning a completely new platform has been a challenge. I've already discovered that customer support is practically nonexistent, so it's taken a lot of patience, trial and error, and many hours at the computer to piece everything together. My hope is that once it's live, and after while, it will become second nature for all of us-again.
The truth is, I don't enjoy spending my days in front of a computer. My hands have always longed to touch living things. As a child I played in the mud making mud pies. I've always loved petting animals, working with clay, creating silver jewelry, gardening, and caring for interior plants throughout offices all over the Bay Area. My hands feel most at home in nature and in connection with the beautiful living creations of this world.
In fact, I just returned from an immersive trip to the American River, where I spent days digging into the riverbanks searching for gold. It was an absolute blast, and I already can't wait to go back!
So here's to new beginnings. To my wonderful clients—thank you for your patience as we learn this new booking system together. I truly appreciate you sticking with me through another season of growth and change. May we all navigate this transition with ease, and may it soon become as familiar and effortless as the old one.
See you soon!
